What to Expect

We’ve combined this unique Arabian Cultural Breakfast with our famous Dubai Falconry Safari to offer you an immersive experience into the Emirati culture. Truly unique and guaranteed to create unforgettable memories and photographs with Birds of Prey as well as discovering the local culture.

Driven by an experienced Safari Guide and Falconer (and accompanying falcon), into the heart of the desert outside Dubai, you are bound to come across wildlife on this relaxed drive, making this the ideal family outing. During the 90 minute, fully interactive falconry experience you will personally handle and fly some of the birds, assisted by a professional falconer. Small group size ensures a feel of exclusivity and guests will learn in-depth facts about the birds, their behavioural patterns and biological make up. You will be shown both traditional and modern falconry training techniques and will gain a better understanding of the importance of falconry in Arabia.

Following the falconry safari in the desert, you are transferred to the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding (SMCCU), greeted with a traditional welcome of Arabic coffee and dates before engaging in an open dialogue with local Emiratis about their heritage. A family-style breakfast of authentic Arabic cuisine, containing their local diet of fish, meats, vegetables and rice is served in the majilis (council room), on low cushions in true Arabic fashion.

Each Falconry Safari is unique, since we are blessed with a large and varied team of Birds Of Prey, but you are sure to get up close to at least 4 – 5 birds during your experience, ranging from owls, falcons, hawks, kestrels to eagles and even a vulture.

Yes, we offer you safe and up-close experiences where you are able to either hold or release a Bird Of Prey from your glove.

No, our interactive experiences are conducted with well trained birds and delivered safely and professionally by our falconers.

Please be sure and let us know if you (or anyone in your group) has a dietary restriction (e.g. vegetarian, diabetic, allergy, etc.) when you purchase your tickets. As long as we know in advance, we can accommodate your needs.

Since our Falconry Safari is conducted in the heart of the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, the meandering route we take through the dunes, covering approximately 18km through the nature reserve, so you are bound to see herds of indigenous Arabian oryx, gazelles and a variety of bird species. The flora consists typically of low desert scrub bushes like the Fire Bush, interspersed with Sodom’s Apple trees and unique groves of Ghaf trees (the national tree of the United Arab Emirates).

"Forget about the malls and the waterparks, this is an experience everyone should try. You can go shopping or swim anywhere in the world but flying birds of prey in the Arabian desert is an experience you will never forget."
